Independence

Who decides what gets published.

Luxury.it is an independent English-language publication. Editorial decisions are made by the masthead listed on our team page and by no one else. No hotel, restaurant, brand, agency or advertiser can buy inclusion, approve copy before publication or remove a fair assessment.

The publication is owned by Luxury.it Media. Ownership and contact details are published in full on the masthead page.

Method

How we select and verify.

We cover a place when it has genuine destination value, not because it is new or because it asked. Selections draw on first-hand visits, primary sources, official announcements, planning records and conversations with operators, and every factual claim is checked against at least one primary source before publication.

Prices, opening dates and availability are volatile in this industry. We date our reporting, state when information was last verified, and correct quickly when reality moves. The corrections page describes exactly how.

Commercial

Advertising and partnerships, disclosed.

Luxury.it sustains itself through clearly labelled editorial partnerships, private client services and advertising. Commercial content is always marked as such. A partner can commission coverage of a subject; a partner cannot write our verdict.

Concierge and private access requests submitted through this site may be fulfilled with partner operators. When a commercial relationship exists, it is disclosed on the relevant page.

Tools

Use of AI and where the judgement sits.

We use software, including AI tools, for research assistance, image handling and production. Judgement, selection, verification and final wording are the responsibility of the named editors. Nothing is published without human review.

Photography is credited on the image where the source requires or deserves it. We do not publish synthetic images of real places presented as documentary photography.

Updates

Living pages, dated changes.

Guides and city pages are reviewed on a rolling basis and carry the date of their last substantive update. News articles state their publication date and, where amended, the date and nature of the amendment.
