The center lake around Tremezzina and Bellagio is where the light and the views concentrate. The southwest branch near Cernobbio holds the grandest estates. Both are right, and the water taxi between them takes twenty minutes.

Book the hotel's private Riva or Venetian launch for at least one golden hour cruise. Every property above keeps boats, and the lake from the water at seven in the evening is the entire reason to come. Lunch across the lake, arriving by boat in linen, is the correct daily plan.
