Genoa Boat Show 2026: 1,000 boats, 215 new models, 23 euro tickets, premieres

The 66th Genoa Boat Show opens on Thursday 1 October 2026 with more than 1,000 boats on the water. It runs six days, to Tuesday 6 October, at the Waterfront di Levante, the Renzo Piano redesign of the old fair district whose works are complete this year, with the new Palasport open for the first time. The organisers count 215 new models and 45 countries. Tickets cost 23 euros online. And the doors open four days after the Monaco Yacht Show closes, which is where a good part of the fleet is coming from. Here is what is confirmed, what is new, and which boats have been promised so far.

Dates, hours and the price of a ticket

The show runs from 1 to 6 October. Confindustria Nautica, which organises it, set the prices in July: 23 euros online plus 1 euro of presale, 28 at the gate, 13 for under-25s with identification, free for children born after 1 January 2014 and for visitors with disabilities, sold through the official shop at shop.ilsalonenautico.com, as set out in the association’s July notice. No multi-day pass has been published. The hours are 10:00 to 18:30 every day according to the Marina Porto Antico’s page for the show. Two days at the start belong to the trade: the TechTrade Days on 1 and 2 October in the Padiglione Blu, with more than 400 brands of equipment and components, reserved for professionals.

The numbers: 1,000 boats, 215 novelties, 45 countries

At the presentation on 15 September, Confindustria Nautica gave the figures for 2026: more than 1,000 boats, 215 new models, 45 countries from five continents, a layout on the water 4 percent larger than last year, multihulls up 28 percent in units, and the average size of the three largest boats in each segment up 14.1 percent. The foreign-buyer programme run with ICE Agenzia grows from 70 to 180 invited buyers from 35 countries. The bar was high. The 2025 edition closed with 124,248 visitors, up 2.8 percent, 123 new products of which 96 were premieres, more than 4,000 sea trials and 132 conferences. Two areas are new. Area H on the waterfront, called Living Made in Italy, is reserved for Italian superyachts between 35 and 50 metres, and the Blue Arena inside the Palasport gathers the parts of the show that are not for sale: the Start Boating desk, with the new D1 licence available from the age of 16, start-ups, training, sailing and the military maritime institutions. The Palasport itself, with 74 shops open and a floor of restaurants, is the building that turns the fairground into a district for the other 359 days of the year.

What Monaco leaves behind

The Monaco Yacht Show closes today, 26 September, after four days with 120 superyachts and more than 560 exhibitors on the organisers’ count. The largest boat in Port Hercule was Leviathan, 111 metres by Oceanco; the largest new delivery was Nixie, 102 metres by Lürssen, handed over in June. Italian builders used the week for debuts and for numbers. Ferretti Group showed the Riva 54Metri, 54.83 metres and 499 gross tons, the largest Riva ever built, alongside the European debut of CRN’s 67.55-metre Amor à Vida and the Custom Line Navetta 35, of which five units are sold. Azimut said seven Grande 44M had been sold before the flagship’s debut. Tankoa presented two world premieres, the 45-metre Singolare and the 52-metre custom Spirit. Amels brought Pangea, the first Amels 80 ever shown at a boat show. And the Blue Wake Awards, the show’s own prizes, went in the shipyard category to Amico and Co of Genoa, which is a good omen for a show that opens in that yard’s home port next Thursday. We covered the opening day and the Italian premieres as they happened. For Genoa, the relevant fact is what comes south: the 35-to-50-metre Italian yachts for which Genoa has now built an area of its own.

The premieres named so far

Most builders publish their Genoa line-ups in the last week, so the list below is what was on the record on 26 September. Fiart brings the SX5, 17.30 metres, in Italian premiere after its world premiere at Cannes, together with the P58 flagship, at Quay E. Cranchi lists ten boats from the Settantotto 78 down to the E26 and two world premieres, the A48 outboard and the A32 outboard. Absolute shows the 60 Fly and the Navetta 53, 58 and 62, three days after presenting a new brand identity. Ferretti Group has confirmed its stand at Dock F without naming the boats. Cantiere Mimì, the gozzo builder, has the Libeccio 13.50 WA listed as a world premiere in the trade press. Azimut, Benetti, Sanlorenzo, Solaris, Grand Soleil and Pardo had published nothing for Genoa by Saturday, and their announcements usually arrive in the final days before the opening.

The industry behind the show

Genoa is also where the Italian industry publishes its accounts. The 2026 edition of Nautica in Cifre, the Confindustria Nautica yearbook with the 2025 figures, is presented on 30 September, the day before the doors open, and it will update numbers that already describe a record: 8.6 billion euros of turnover in 2024, up 3.2 percent, more than 13 billion euros of value added across the supply chain, close to 170,000 jobs and around 90 percent of production going abroad, on the association’s own summary this month. The superyacht share is the headline the world reads. In the Global Order Book for 2026, Italy holds 52 percent of the yachts under construction worldwide, 568 units, up two points, while the world total fell from 1,138 to 1,093; Deloitte’s report for Confindustria Nautica in May put the Italian share at 56 percent of units and 36 percent of value, in a world new-build market worth 33.3 billion euros in 2025. Different counts, same conclusion. More than half of the large yachts being built anywhere are being built in Italy, and the show’s new area H is where the 35-to-50-metre ones will be moored.

Awards, forums and the Cup

The Design Innovation Award, in its seventh year, announces its winners on Friday 2 October: eleven product categories, including a new one for components, and three special prizes for innovation, career and talent, judged by a panel chaired by the architect Paolo Brescia of OBR. Last year’s winners included the Cranchi A32 Luxury Tender, the Sanlorenzo SL110A and the Bluegame BGF45. The FORUM26 conference series runs through the six days, and the World Yachting Sustainability Forum reaches its fifth edition. One announcement already looks past October. Confindustria Nautica is the strategic marine-industry partner of the 38th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup in Naples in 2027, and Genoa is where the Italian supply chain will start talking about it.

The Luxury.it perspective

Monaco is the show where yachts are admired and Genoa is the show where boats are bought, and the second pays for the first. The 2025 figures make the case: 124,000 visitors, 4,000 sea trials, 96 premieres, at 23 euros a ticket where Monaco asks 700 for a day, as we set out in our guide to the Monaco pass. What has changed in 2026 is the setting. The Waterfront di Levante is complete, the Palasport is open, and for the first time the show has a district around it rather than a fairground. For a reader who wants to buy a boat between 15 and 50 metres, and to step aboard it rather than look at it from a quay, the six days from 1 October are the ones that matter in the Italian calendar. Buy the ticket online and bring it on your phone. The gate price is higher, and the queue at the Padiglione Blu on the first morning belongs to the trade, not to you.
