Costa Smeralda beach clubs are easy to book badly.
That is the first thing to understand. The coastline is not one product. A beach club near Porto Cervo can mean lunch on Liscia Ruja, a yacht-only arrival at Cala Petra Ruja, sunset music in Baja Sardinia, a resort-controlled beach, a family-friendly daybed, or a dinner that begins when the beach day is already over.
The mistake is asking, “What is the best beach club in Costa Smeralda?”
The better question is: what kind of day are you trying to have?
Some places are for lunch. Some are for sunset. Some are for a boat arrival. Some are for families. Some are for the full scene. Some are only good if you already know exactly what you are buying. Here is the Luxury.it edit.
1. Nikki Beach Costa Smeralda
Best for the international yacht-day scene
Nikki Beach Costa Smeralda is the most globally legible beach club on the coast.
That is its strength and its risk. It does not pretend to be a quiet Sardinian address. It is a brand, and everyone understands the language before arriving: white, music, champagne, international crowd, seafood, sushi, daybeds, cabanas, service, yacht arrival.
The official Nikki Beach page places the club in Cala Petra Ruja and states that it is accessible only by private yacht or complimentary shuttle service, with a private dock leading directly into the beach club. The venue is open daily in season, with beach club and bar hours from 11:00 to 19:00 and restaurant from 13:00 to 17:00.
This is not the place for someone trying to discover “authentic Sardinia”. It is for people who want the international Costa Smeralda day: boat, music, lunch, recognizable crowd, and a sense that the island has temporarily joined the same circuit as Saint-Tropez, Ibiza and Mykonos.
Book it if: you want scene, yacht access, music and an international crowd.
Avoid it if: you want silence, local intimacy or a casual beach lunch.
2. Phi Beach
Best for sunset and late-day theatre
Phi Beach is not just a beach club. It is a sunset machine.
Set at Forte Cappellini in Baja Sardinia, it works differently from the beach-lunch clubs around Liscia Ruja and Cala Petra Ruja. The official Phi Beach site describes it as an open-air club a few kilometres from Porto Cervo, built around Mediterranean sea, sunset, refined Italian cuisine, DJs and special occasions.
This matters because not every Costa Smeralda day should begin at 11 a.m. Phi Beach is best used later. Go when the sun begins to matter. Treat it as an aperitivo, dinner and music address, not only a place to lie down under an umbrella. The rock setting and sunset view are the reason to go.
It can be expensive. It can be too much if you are not in the mood. But when the group wants energy, this is one of the few places that actually understands evening drama.
Book it if: you want sunset, music, dinner, nightlife energy.
Avoid it if: you want a quiet family beach day.
3. A Mare, Liscia Ruja
Best for a polished beach lunch without overacting
A Mare is one of the most useful newer beach-club addresses because it sits directly on Liscia Ruja, one of Costa Smeralda’s most important beaches, but does not need to behave like the loudest venue on the coast.
The official A Mare site calls it a restaurant and beach club on Liscia Ruja, describing it as a new Porto Cervo beach address built around fresh simplicity, comfort and a relaxed atmosphere. Costa Smeralda’s own guide describes A Mare as a beach club on one of the area’s iconic beaches, with boho-chic aesthetics and cuisine signed by Antonio Mellino of Quattro Passi.
This is the kind of place that can work for lunch rather than performance. Use it when you want proper food, a beautiful beach and a softer Costa Smeralda mood. It is not anonymous, and it is not cheap, but it feels less like a club you are forced to survive and more like a beach restaurant that can carry the day.
Book it if: you want lunch on Liscia Ruja with comfort and taste.
Avoid it if: you want a full party beach-club experience.
4. Cone Club at 7Pines Resort Sardinia
Best for sunset dining with resort control
Cone Club is not technically in Porto Cervo’s central beach-club machine, and that is part of the appeal.
At 7Pines Resort Sardinia, near Baja Sardinia, Cone Club is positioned as a seafront venue for lunch, dinner, cocktails and sunsets. The 7Pines dining page calls it “much more than just a beach club”, while the Cone Club site describes dining, cocktails, watersports, daybeds and direct access to the sea.
The advantage here is resort control. You are not fighting the randomness of a public beach day. You are inside a hospitality ecosystem. That can be exactly right for couples, hotel guests, families or groups who want a more contained sunset experience without going full Phi Beach.
Cone Club also makes sense when you are staying around Baja Sardinia, Poltu Quatu, Cannigione or the northern side of Costa Smeralda. Not every evening has to go back toward Porto Cervo.
Book it if: you want sunset, dining, views and resort-level comfort.
Avoid it if: you want the classic Porto Cervo scene.
5. White Beach Club, Liscia Ruja
Best for a classic Liscia Ruja beach day
White Beach Club is a more straightforward beach-club answer.
The official White Beach Club site places it on Spiaggia Liscia Ruja and lists daily opening from 10:00 to 20:00. Its English presentation describes pale sand, crystal-clear water and designed spaces for comfort, privacy and connection to the natural beauty of Liscia Ruja.
This is the place for people who want the beach to remain the main event. Not every Costa Smeralda day needs to become a show. Sometimes the right answer is simple: good beach, proper loungers, lunch, sea, return. White Beach Club fits that brief better than some of the louder names.
It is also useful because Liscia Ruja has scale. In peak season, scale matters. Smaller coves can become claustrophobic by late morning.
Book it if: you want a classic beach day on Liscia Ruja.
Avoid it if: you want nightlife, DJs or yacht-only exclusivity.
6. Romazzino Beach Club
Best for the hotel-resort version of Costa Smeralda
Romazzino is a different category.
This is not a standalone beach-club scene in the same way as Nikki Beach or Phi Beach. It belongs to the hotel-resort idea of Costa Smeralda: controlled, polished, quietly glamorous, tied to one of the coast’s iconic properties.
Costa Smeralda’s official article on the Romazzino beach describes the hotel’s beach club as set along an immaculate strip of beach, with days of dolce far niente, beach umbrellas, sun loungers and two large swimming pools just steps from the sea.
That is the right mood. Romazzino is for guests who want the hotel version of the coast: less random, more managed, elegant without needing to shout. It is not the most democratic or easiest address to access if you are not staying there, but as an idea of Costa Smeralda it remains important.
Book it if: you want hotel-resort polish and classic Costa Smeralda atmosphere.
Avoid it if: you want independent beach-club energy.

Best classic beach day: White Beach Club
Best hotel-resort atmosphere: Romazzino Beach Club
The mistake to avoid
Do not book the most famous name automatically.
If you are arriving by yacht and want international energy, Nikki Beach makes sense. If the whole day is about sunset, Phi Beach makes sense. If you want lunch and Liscia Ruja, A Mare or White Beach Club may be better. If you are staying near Baja Sardinia and want sunset with comfort, Cone Club is the smarter move.
Costa Smeralda rewards precision. The wrong beach club can make an expensive day feel generic. The right one can make the entire coast easier to understand.
Luxury.it perspective
The best beach club in Costa Smeralda is not one address. It is the address that matches the rhythm of the day. That is the real luxury here: not just paying for the beach, but knowing which version of the coast you are actually buying.
