Where to Eat in Porto Cervo: 20 Tables Worth Booking in 2026

By Alessandro ContiJuly 12, 202622 min readOpenings Desk

Last verified: 12 July 2026

Porto Cervo has a strange problem: the most expensive table can still be the wrong table.

A technically excellent restaurant will not save an evening if you wanted a long lunch by the water and accidentally booked a midnight scene. Nor will the most fashionable dining room feel particularly glamorous when what the table really needed was pasta, grilled fish and a bottle of Vermentino without a performance attached.

Porto Cervo is not one restaurant district. La Piazzetta wants polished Italian dinners and a walk afterwards. Porto Vecchio wants water, music and, increasingly, arrival by tender. The Marina works differently again. Pevero and Liscia di Vacca grow looser, later and more theatrical, while Cala di Volpe can turn lunch into a ceremony of its own.

Treating all of them as one interchangeable list is how visitors end up in a very good restaurant on precisely the wrong night.

This guide covers Porto Cervo proper and its immediate dining orbit: La Piazzetta, Porto Vecchio, Promenade du Port, the Marina, Pevero, Liscia di Vacca and Cala di Volpe. It deliberately excludes San Pantaleo, Porto Rotondo, Poltu Quatu, Baja Sardinia and inland Gallura. For those, read our complete guide to the best restaurants in Costa Smeralda.

Every restaurant below had an active official 2026 page, current reservation system or published hotel dining schedule when checked on 12 July 2026. Seasonal hours and menus can change quickly; reconfirm directly before travelling.

This is not a ranking from first to twentieth. Each restaurant earns its pin by solving a different Porto Cervo evening.

Part I

La Piazzetta and central Porto Cervo

The centre is where Porto Cervo appears most composed. These restaurants work when dinner needs to feel elegant and recognisably Italian, but still leave room for a walk through the Piazzetta rather than turning the entire night into one self-contained production.

01New for 2026 · Polished Italian · La Piazzetta

Paper Moon Porto Cervo

Paper Moon is the most important new arrival in the Piazzetta itself. The Milanese institution opened its Porto Cervo chapter in July 2026, bringing a quieter proposition than the coast’s louder international imports: Italian cooking, fresh pasta, seasonal vegetables, carefully chosen wines and an atmosphere designed around restraint rather than spectacle.

That distinction gives it a clear purpose. Paper Moon is for the evening when everyone wants to dress well and eat somewhere unmistakably Porto Cervo, but nobody wants dinner to become a nightclub with plates.

What to orderBegin with seasonal vegetables or a light antipasto, then choose fresh pasta or simply prepared fish. The appeal is the quality of the Italian fundamentals rather than one compulsory social-media dish.

Best forA first evening in Porto Cervo, couples, a polished family dinner or guests staying around the Piazzetta.

02Asian fusion · Harbour terrace · Cosmopolitan

Novikov Porto Cervo

Novikov remains one of the centre’s strongest international options, but its value is not merely brand recognition. The private terrace looking over the harbour creates a more contained, restaurant-first evening than some of Porto Cervo’s louder Japanese alternatives.

The current menu moves through oysters, raw fish, premium sushi, sashimi, king crab, Josper cooking and dishes such as yuzu-miso black cod. It is broad enough for a group, yet coherent enough not to feel like a generic luxury-resort menu.

What to orderHamachi carpaccio, premium nigiri or sashimi, followed by black cod or king crab from the grill.

Best forHarbour views, an international group, Asian food without a full late-night scene or guests who prefer polished energy to volume.

03Porto Cervo classic · Sardinian dishes · Pizza

Il Pomodoro

A serious guide to luxury should explain where to eat when nobody wants another “experience”. Il Pomodoro has operated since 1976 and remains useful precisely because it refuses to specialise in theatre.

The current menu moves comfortably between pizza, seafood, pasta, Sardinian cured meats, malloreddus with lamb ragù, roast suckling pig with myrtle and seadas. It gives families and mixed groups somewhere central where different appetites do not require a committee meeting.

What to orderMalloreddus with lamb ragù, roast suckling pig with myrtle and seadas; alternatively, choose one of the Sardinian pizzas and keep the evening simple.

Best forFamilies, mixed appetites, a casual dinner near the Piazzetta and anyone seeking recognisable Sardinian flavours without a tasting menu.

Part II

Porto Vecchio, Promenade du Port and the Marina

This is the part of Porto Cervo changing fastest. The 2026 season has brought a true waterside opening, a new marina residency and a more complete distinction between serious dining, sunset rooftops and dinner-as-entertainment.

04One Michelin star · Tasting menu · Serious fine dining

ConFusion Boutique Restaurant

ConFusion is Porto Cervo’s answer when the food must carry the entire evening. Chef Italo Bassi’s restaurant holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide and occupies an elevated position above the marina within Promenade du Port.

The cooking is technically ambitious, polished and deliberately removed from rustic Sardinian nostalgia. This is not where to request a quick plate of pasta before going elsewhere. It is where to surrender the evening to a sequence.

What to orderChoose one of the tasting menus rather than building dinner à la carte. The seafood and marine-led courses express the restaurant’s identity most clearly.

Best forAnniversaries, significant celebrations and diners actively looking for a Michelin-starred tasting-menu experience.

05The defining opening of 2026 · Seafood · Arrival by tender

Langosteria Porto Cervo

Langosteria is the opening that has materially changed Porto Vecchio in 2026. It occupies two outdoor terraces connected by a walkway, has a dedicated pontoon and can be reached by tender. The restaurant describes itself as Porto Cervo’s only true pieds-dans-l’eau dining room.

More importantly, the menu does not simply relocate Milanese signatures to Sardinia. Specific dishes have been developed around the island and its produce, giving the restaurant a stronger sense of place than the name alone might suggest.

What to orderCulurgiones with langoustines and Cabras bottarga, Gulf of Aranci sea bream and the Sardinian seada.

Best forA first-night statement, arrival from a yacht, dinner directly above the water or the one 2026 opening visitors will ask about afterwards.

Langosteria opened on 20 June 2026. Its official page confirms active daily dinner service, direct tender access and the current menu; the Costa Smeralda consortium describes two terraces, 160 outdoor seats and the dedicated pontoon.

06New for 2026 · Marina dining · Lunch and dinner

Signor Sassi Mare at You Marina

Signor Sassi returned to Italy in 2026 with a seasonal residency at You Marina, overlooking the yachts from Piazza Azzurra. Unlike several headline arrivals that exist almost exclusively after sunset, this one also works for a marina lunch at the weekend.

The menu speaks a very direct coastal Italian language: crudo, lobster pasta, handmade pasta, grilled fish, premium meats and classic desserts. It is designed to feel celebratory without asking guests to decode the concept first.

What to orderFresh crudo, lobster pasta and grilled fish, followed by gelato.

Best forA weekend marina lunch, sunset cocktails, families, guests arriving by boat and a classic Italian dinner with a view of the yachts.

The official You Marina page publishes the current address, menu direction, telephone and schedule. The summer residency opened in June 2026.

07Rooftop sunset · Contemporary Japanese · Late night

Zuma Porto Cervo

Zuma’s advantage is timing. It begins with cocktails and a wide view over the marina, moves into Japanese dining and remains alive long after many conventional restaurants have closed.

That makes it a complete evening rather than simply a table. The current menu includes sashimi, sushi, robata cooking, roasted lobster and the signatures associated with the group. Book it because dinner, sunset and the beginning of the night need to happen in the same place.

What to orderA sashimi selection, black cod or grilled sea bass, and roasted lobster with green chilli and shiso butter.

Best forSunset, a fashionable group, Japanese food followed by drinks and nights that should not end with dessert.

08Romantic garden · Sea view · Less obvious

Pedri Garden

Pedri Garden is one of the addresses that keeps this list from becoming twenty global names in different uniforms. Set inside a romantic garden above Porto Vecchio, it offers a calmer view of the port and a modern interpretation of Italian cooking.

Its greatest strength is contrast. It works when the group wants beauty and proper service without the acoustic pressure, performance schedule or brand theatre of the coast’s most visible restaurants.

What to orderLet the current 2026 menu and the day’s ingredients decide. Seasonal fish, pasta and vegetable-led antipasti suit the setting better than arriving determined to order a famous signature.

Best forA date, a quieter family dinner, a garden table at sunset and guests who still want to hear one another speak.

Pedri officially reopened for its 2026 season on 25 April and currently publishes a 2026 menu, booking link and contact numbers.

09Dinner show · Waterfront · High energy

Crazy Pizza Porto Cervo

Crazy Pizza should not be booked as an academic investigation into Sardinian pizza. It should be booked because a group wants thin, crisp pizza, music, DJs, tableside performance and a waterfront room that grows louder as the evening advances.

Within that brief, it is unusually clear about what it offers. The hospitality and entertainment are not distractions accidentally attached to dinner; they are part of the product.

What to orderShare one classic pizza and one signature creation, then choose a tableside dessert if the table is committed to the show.

Best forBirthdays, larger groups, celebratory dinners and guests who actively want energy rather than intimacy.

10Family-run · Pizza and seafood · No theatre required

Hivaoa

Hivaoa is the anti-status choice, and therefore one of the most practically valuable restaurants in this guide. The same family has run it since 1999, serving Italian and Sardinian food, pizza, seafood, lasagne, parmigiana and options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-intolerant diners.

Go when everyone has had enough of explaining what kind of “experience” they want. Hivaoa is not trying to become the story of the evening. It is trying to feed the table well.

What to orderSpaghetti with clams and bottarga, grilled or fried seafood, culurgiones or pizza.

Best forFamilies, larger groups, mixed dietary needs and a straightforward dinner after several elaborate reservations.

Part III

Pevero and Liscia di Vacca

The evening grows less formal here, although not necessarily less expensive. This is where Porto Cervo’s fashion crowd, late-night restaurants and more unusual seasonal concepts begin to separate themselves from the centre.

11Fashion crowd · Contemporary seafood · Golfo del Pevero

Vesta Porto Cervo

Vesta reopened for the 2026 season on 26 June. Its position on the Golfo del Pevero and its mix of seafood, raw dishes, music and highly social dining make it one of the clearest choices when atmosphere is not merely tolerated but required.

The food keeps it from being included solely for the room. The raw selection and contemporary seafood signatures give the table something to discuss before people-watching takes over.

What to orderBegin with crudo and the raw selection, then share signatures such as the tuna sando or Vesta Catalana.

Best forA glamorous group dinner, a high-fashion crowd and an evening intended to continue after the final course.

12Nikkei restaurant · Historic address · Limited omakase residency

Pacifico Rosemary and Hatsune at Rosemary

Pacifico revived the historic Rosemary address in Liscia di Vacca with a combination of Peruvian and Japanese references, Sardinian ingredients, ceviche, grill cooking and serious mixology.

Summer 2026 adds a much rarer reason to travel there. From 8 July to 23 August, Hatsune Ronin Milano is hosting an intimate Edomae-style omakase residency led by fourth-generation sushi master Katsu Nakaji. Seats are deliberately limited and the progression is decided by the chef’s daily selection.

This is not another generic sushi option. It is arguably the most time-sensitive restaurant reservation in Porto Cervo this summer.

What to orderFor Pacifico, begin with ceviche, tiradito and local-fish crudo. For Hatsune, order nothing individually: take the omakase and allow the sequence to stand.

Best forSerious sushi travellers, returning visitors looking for something genuinely new and anyone in Porto Cervo before 23 August 2026.

13Churrascaria · Fire-led cooking · Three venues in one

CUE Porto Cervo and Orto by CUE

CUE solves a problem that seafood-heavy destinations often ignore: what to book when the table does not want another fish dinner.

It is really three experiences within one address. The Churrascaria offers rodizio-style service; Orto by CUE moves toward a more composed Argentine and Mediterranean grill format; the 1865 Wine & Cocktail Bar handles the hours before and after dinner. Deciding which format you want matters more than deciding which individual dish to order.

What to orderChoose the experience first. Take the full rodizio at the Churrascaria, or reserve Orto for a more measured fire-led dinner with selected cuts and produce.

Best forMeat lovers, larger groups, live entertainment and an evening that can move from aperitif to dinner without changing address.

14Quiet luxury · Sardinian seafood · Piccolo Pevero

White Villa Porto Cervo

White Villa uses the phrase “quiet luxury” on its own site, but here it is more than borrowed branding language. The restaurant sits away from the most compressed part of the centre and focuses on fresh fish, shellfish, local ingredients and Sardinian-Mediterranean cooking.

It is a strong alternative for travellers who still want an elegant, sea-facing dinner but have no interest in booking the room with the most cameras, performances or recognisable international logo.

What to orderAsk about the day’s catch and shellfish, then choose the preparation that interferes with the ingredient least.

Best forA quieter date, private dinners, fresh seafood and visitors who have exhausted the centre’s loudest rooms.

Part IV

Cala di Volpe

Cala di Volpe is not the centre of Porto Cervo, and this guide does not pretend otherwise. It is included because it forms the immediate dining orbit of a Porto Cervo stay and contains several experiences that cannot be replaced by a restaurant in the Piazzetta: modern Sardinian food above the bay, formal hotel dining, Japanese signatures, a legendary buffet lunch and a full beach day.

15Modern Sardinian · Michelin-selected · Cala di Volpe view

Frades La Terrazza

Frades is one of the few restaurants in the area capable of being visibly contemporary without severing its connection to Sardinia.

The pantry remains local: cured meats, cheese, bottarga, pane lentu, island wines and regional recipes. The design and presentation are modern, but the restaurant never gives the impression that Sardinia is an inconvenient backdrop to an imported concept.

What to orderPane lentu tacos, the mullet sandwich with lentisk mayonnaise, Sardinian cheeses and cured meats, followed by whichever seasonal dish best represents the island that day.

Best forVisitors asking for Sardinian food without folklore, a long lunch, aperitivo above Cala di Volpe or an early dinner with a view.

16Japanese icon · Formal hotel dinner · Nobu signatures

Matsuhisa at Cala di Volpe

Some famous restaurants survive in destination guides through inertia. Matsuhisa earns its place because it still provides a clear solution: serious, familiar Japanese cooking inside one of the Mediterranean’s most recognisable hotels.

The menu’s signatures require little introduction. What changes the experience is the setting: the architecture, terrace, dress and sense of occasion turn internationally familiar dishes into a distinctly Cala di Volpe evening.

What to orderYellowtail with jalapeño, sashimi or tiradito, followed by black cod with miso.

Best forJapanese-food loyalists, a landmark hotel dinner and guests who value a known culinary language in an exceptional setting.

17Steakhouse · Premium meat · Seafood-fatigue cure

Beefbar Cala di Volpe

By the fourth or fifth night in Costa Smeralda, even committed seafood diners may need a change of direction. Beefbar exists for that evening.

Riccardo Giraudi’s concept combines premium cuts with playful, street-food-inspired starters. It is still formal Cala di Volpe dining, but the menu introduces levity before the more serious business of choosing the meat.

What to orderBegin with several of the smaller street-food-inspired plates, then share a premium cut rather than ordering the entire meal around separate mains.

Best forSteak, groups tired of seafood and a formal dinner that does not require a tasting-menu sequence.

18Cala di Volpe classic · Mediterranean · Old-school ceremony

Le Grand

Le Grand is not the newest dining room in this guide, nor should it attempt to behave like one. Its reason for inclusion is the continuity between the food, the architecture and the old-school ritual of dressing for dinner at Cala di Volpe.

The menu is Mediterranean and the service formal. Book it when the hotel itself is part of what the table wants to experience, rather than merely a building containing a restaurant.

What to orderFollow the seasonal Mediterranean menu through handmade pasta, local fish and produce-led dishes rather than arriving with a fixed international signature in mind.

Best forA formal hotel classic, multigenerational celebrations and guests interested in Cala di Volpe as an institution.

19Iconic long lunch · Poolside · Sardinian marble buffet

Cala di Volpe Barbecue

The Barbecue is not included as a backup restaurant inside a hotel. It is included because lunch here is one of the defining rituals of Cala di Volpe.

Fresh fish, meats, local dishes, salads and homemade pasta are presented across an expansive buffet on Sardinian marble. The correct approach is not to treat it as a race to collect everything before returning to the table.

What to orderBuild lunch in stages. Begin with seafood and vegetables, return for pasta or grill dishes and leave enough room to understand why the dessert section has its own following.

Best forA long lunch, families, groups of friends and the classic Cala di Volpe daytime experience.

20Beach club · Daytime dining · Cosmopolitan

African Queen Cala di Volpe

African Queen occupies the beach at Hotel Cala di Volpe and belongs to a completely different part of the day from Le Grand or Matsuhisa.

It combines beach-club ease with a menu that moves between Mediterranean and African references. The point is not to interrupt the day for a formal lunch but to make the table, swim, music and afternoon feel like one continuous plan.

What to orderKeep lunch compatible with the day: seafood, vegetables and the lighter Mediterranean or African-influenced dishes on the current menu.

Best forA complete beach day, daytime people-watching, lunch without leaving Cala di Volpe and guests who want the scene before sunset rather than after it.

What are the best new restaurants in Porto Cervo in 2026?

The three defining full restaurant openings are Langosteria Porto Cervo, Paper Moon Porto Cervo and Signor Sassi Mare. Langosteria opened on 20 June as a true waterside restaurant in Porto Vecchio; Signor Sassi Mare introduced a new seasonal marina residency; and Paper Moon arrived in the Piazzetta in July. The most distinctive limited-time arrival is Hatsune at Rosemary, running from 8 July to 23 August 2026.

Which Porto Cervo restaurant has a Michelin star?

ConFusion Boutique Restaurant by chef Italo Bassi holds one Michelin star in the 2026 Michelin Guide. It is located at Promenade du Port and operates for the 2026 season from 23 April to 29 September.

Where should I have lunch in Porto Cervo?

For an iconic long lunch, choose Cala di Volpe Barbecue. For a beach-club day, choose African Queen. Signor Sassi Mare serves weekend lunch overlooking the Marina, while Frades La Terrazza offers a more food-focused Sardinian lunch above Cala di Volpe.

Where can I eat authentic Sardinian food near Porto Cervo?

Frades La Terrazza offers the most contemporary interpretation of Sardinian ingredients. For something more informal and recognisable, Il Pomodoro serves malloreddus, roast suckling pig, Sardinian cheeses and seadas, while Hivaoa combines Sardinian specialities with pizza and traditional Italian dishes.

Which Porto Cervo restaurants stay open late?

Among the restaurants with officially published late schedules, Zuma and White Villa operate until 2 a.m., Paper Moon and Crazy Pizza until 1 a.m., and Vesta until 12.30 a.m. Exact final orders can differ from the published closing time.

Are Cala di Volpe restaurants really in Porto Cervo?

Cala di Volpe is geographically separate from Porto Cervo’s central Piazzetta and Marina, but it forms part of the immediate dining orbit used by visitors staying in the area. This guide includes it transparently while excluding more distant dining destinations such as Porto Rotondo, San Pantaleo, Baja Sardinia and Poltu Quatu.

How to choose the right table

For a first visit, do not reserve five versions of the same evening.

Book Langosteria for the significant 2026 arrival. Choose Frades when Sardinia needs to remain visible on the plate. Use ConFusion for the gastronomic dinner, Zuma or Vesta for a night built around energy, and Hivaoa or Il Pomodoro when the table needs to recover from all the production.

Then protect one lunch. Cala di Volpe Barbecue, African Queen, Frades and Signor Sassi Mare are not interchangeable with dinner reservations. They belong to the hours when Porto Cervo is still defined by water, light and the possibility that nobody needs to be anywhere else afterwards.

The most famous table is not automatically the correct one. The right Porto Cervo restaurant is the place that understands the evening you are actually trying to have.
