Finca La Donaira in Montecorto is a working organic farm with nine rooms and a Lusitano stable. It is one of three hotels new to MICHELIN’s list in Andalusia for 2026, with Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville and Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club on the coast. The region has 17 Key hotels: the Marbella Club Hotel at Two Keys and 16 hotels at One, with 1,331 rooms between them by our count. None holds Three. Five are in Seville and seven in the province of Málaga. Three are around Granada, one is in Córdoba and one at Alcaidesa, in the province of Cádiz. The tiers come from MICHELIN’s 2026 list for Spain, published in Spanish on 18 September.

Seville: five One-Key hotels, from Triana to the Alfonso XIII
Hotel Alfonso XIII, at San Fernando 2, is the new name. It is the largest of the five. Built in 1928, it has 147 rooms, the Restaurante San Fernando, the Art Deco-inspired Bar Americano and Ena Sevilla, with tapas on the terrace. MICHELIN writes that it has “retained its timeless elegance and rich Seville style”, and that “at the Alfonso, it will always be 1929”.
The other four are small. Cavalta Boutique Hotel has 12 rooms in Triana, “the birthplace of flamenco” in MICHELIN’s words, with a rooftop terrace bar and a seasonal outdoor pool. CoolRooms Palacio Villapanés fills an 18th-century mansion with 50 rooms, a spa and a rooftop bar, and “the building is a classic exemplar of the Mudéjar style”, the page notes. Mercer Sevilla, on Calle Castelar, sets 21st-century design in a 19th-century building with a rooftop terrace, a pool and a bar. “The Mercer isn’t entirely typical”, MICHELIN notes. Vincci Selección Unuk, on Calle Ortiz de Zúñiga, has 34 rooms, marble staircases, open-air terraces and a saltwater pool.
Marbella and the coast: the Marbella Club and six more
The Marbella Club Hotel, Andalusia’s only Two-Key hotel, has 113 rooms on the beach, “each room with its own private balcony or terrace”, and a Thalasso Spa in a new building on the sand. “This is Mediterranean hospitality, old-money style”, MICHELIN writes. In the old town, La Fonda Heritage Hotel occupies “a trio of 16th-century buildings” on one of Marbella’s prettiest squares, with 19 rooms set around Andalusian patios. Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club, new this year, “shows off a quieter side to glitzy Marbella”, with 135 rooms, some with private pools or jacuzzis, a beach club and a spa with treatments by Champneys.
Just inland, Anantara Villa Padierna Palace “is a dead ringer for a Tuscan villa”, with 125 rooms, a Thermae spa, indoor and outdoor pools and three 18-hole golf courses. Finca Cortesin, at Casares, is all suites, “some 67 of them”, with two outdoor pools, an indoor pool and its own golf course. La Zambra Resort at Mijas is “a cloister-like compound” of 196 rooms, named after a regional form of flamenco. At Alcaidesa, Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol, the largest on the list, has 311 rooms, direct access to the beach and two championship golf courses.
Inland: Granada, Córdoba and a farm near Ronda
Finca La Donaira, in the Serranía de Ronda, keeps “a high-end stable dedicated to Lusitano horses”, and “the restored farmhouse shelters nine individually decorated rooms, each furnished with tasteful antiques”. It has indoor and outdoor pools and a spa. Hotel Cortijo del Marqués, “half an hour outside of Granada” among olive groves, has 15 rooms, a library and a wine cellar, and in the city the Seda Club Hotel has 21 rooms on Plaza de la Trinidad, with tiled bathrooms “winking at the nearby Alhambra”. La Almunia del Valle, on a hillside at Monachil, has 15 rooms and a skylit dining room for guests. In Córdoba, the Hospes Palacio del Bailio has 51 rooms. “The main building’s atrium looks down through a glass floor into the ruins of a Roman-era villa”, and the spa has Roman baths of its own.
The Luxury.it perspective
Andalusia’s list splits three ways. Seville’s five are small, four of them with 50 rooms or fewer. The coast holds the resorts, from the Fairmont’s 311 rooms to the Marbella Club on the beach. Inland, three hotels have 15 rooms or fewer. For winter sun, check the pools: five list a seasonal outdoor pool, and four have an indoor one: Anantara, Gran Marbella, Finca Cortesin and Finca La Donaira. The rest of the Spanish series covers Madrid and Barcelona.
