Mezzatorre, at Forio on Ischia, is built around a converted 16th-century watchtower and has four pools. It is one of three MICHELIN Key hotels in Naples and on Ischia in 2026, all three at One Key. The new name is in the city. Grand Hotel Parker’s, on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, enters in 2026, while Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa and Botania Relais & Spa, both at Forio, keep the One Key they held in 2025. Naples had no Key hotel in the 2025 list. Together the three have 155 rooms. They are the only Key hotels in Campania outside the Amalfi Coast, Capri and the Sorrento peninsula, whose 25 are in our list for the Amalfi Coast and Capri. The tiers come from MICHELIN’s complete list of the Italian Keys, published in Italian on 18 September, and the count is ours.
Three hotels, all at One Key: the official list for Naples and Ischia
Tiers and towns are as MICHELIN prints them, and room counts are those on each hotel’s MICHELIN page.
| Keys | Hotel | Town | Rooms |
|---|---|---|---|
| One | Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa | Forio, Isola di Ischia | 48 |
| One | Botania Relais & Spa | Forio, Isola di Ischia | 40 |
| One | Grand Hotel Parker’s (new) | Napoli | 67 |
Forio, on the west coast of Ischia, has two of the three. Parker’s is the largest, with 67 rooms.
Grand Hotel Parker’s, the new name on Corso Vittorio Emanuele
“The Grand Hotel Parker’s has overlooked all this splendid clamor since 1870”, MICHELIN writes. The hotel stands at Corso Vittorio Emanuele 135, “perched prominently on Corso Vittorio Emanuele above palm trees and rooftops”, and many of its 67 rooms and suites look across the gulf to Vesuvius and Capri. They are furnished with Empire-style antiques. “Bathrooms are masterpieces in Italian marble”, and nine of the suites are laid out on two floors. The hotel has “two rooftop terraces, both deliriously elegant spots to soak in the cityscape”. One “belongs to the acclaimed George Restaurant”, which holds two MICHELIN Stars in the current guide under chef Domenico Candela. On the other, “the Bidder Terrace serves traditional cuisine”, next to the Bidder Bar. The 2027 MICHELIN Guide for Italy is unveiled on 12 November.
Naples has a date to plan around. The America’s Cup comes to the city from 22 May 2027, as in our guide to the regatta, which covers Parker’s among its hotels.
Mezzatorre: a 16th-century watchtower over San Montano Bay
On Ischia, Mezzatorre stands at Via Mezzatorre 23 in Forio. “The hotel is centered around a converted sixteenth-century watchtower, crenellations and all”, MICHELIN writes, set in parkland of Mediterranean scrub and pine. It is “the perfect vantage point from which to survey the splendid calm of San Montano Bay”. The 48 rooms have canopy beds, Italian furniture and tiles. Most have a terrace or a balcony, and the upper-tier rooms have hot tubs.
The spa draws on the island’s volcanic soil and thermal waters. “Four pools, but who’s counting?”, the inspectors ask. There are two restaurants under the chef Giuseppe D’Abundo, and “La Torre skews high-concept, while La Baia embraces a more casual, conversational side”. Ischia is a 45-minute ferry ride from Naples, and the hotel runs a shuttle from the port. Mezzatorre opens from April through October.
Botania: nine villas and three kitchens in Forio
“When it comes to islands in the Bay of Naples, the mind naturally leaps straight to Capri”, MICHELIN writes of Botania. The hotel sits on “the larger, if less storied, island of Ischia”, on a two-acre garden estate at Via Provinciale Lacco 284, in Forio. Its 40 rooms “are divided among nine villas, which results in a pleasingly irregular plan”, in a style MICHELIN places at “the classic end of the spectrum, with just a touch of contemporary color contrast”.
Botania has three places to eat. At Il Corbezzolo “the cuisine is traditional”, with local meat and seafood, while Il Mirto is a vegetarian fine-dining restaurant listed in the MICHELIN Guide, cooking with produce from the hotel’s own organic garden. Nonna Marì’s Kitchen serves home-style Southern Italian food and runs cooking classes. The spa has a sauna, a Turkish bath, a hot spring bath and an indoor pool. Children over ten are welcome. Forio also has a new restaurant in the guide, Seasons, added in September, as in our report on the 20 new restaurants.
Campania’s 28: how Naples and Ischia fit with the coast, Capri and Sorrento
Campania has 28 Key hotels in 2026, by our count: three at Three Keys, five at Two and 20 at One. The Amalfi Coast and Capri hold 18 of them, the Sorrento peninsula seven, and Naples and Ischia three. In 2025 the region had 23. Every Three- and Two-Key hotel in Campania is on the Amalfi Coast, on Capri or on the Sorrento peninsula, from Borgo Santandrea to JK Place Capri.
The Luxury.it perspective
Beyond the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Sorrento, Campania’s Keys come down to one city address and one town on Ischia. They offer two different trips. Parker’s is a grand hotel of 1870 with a two-Star restaurant on its roof, and the two hotels at Forio are spa resorts a ferry ride from the city. The calendar points to 2027. Mezzatorre’s season runs from April to October, and the America’s Cup brings the regatta crowd to Naples from late May. A week can join the city, Ischia and the Amalfi Coast. Each stop now has a Key hotel.
